San Francisco’s Four Barrel Coffee is serving drinks at the 2015 Sundance Film Festival, which kicks off today. What kind of coffee does Robert Redford drink? Does George Clooney insist on Nespresso? Is Kristen Stewart going to order a mocha?
We’re figuring all that out, but in the meantime we chatted with Four Barrel Coffee‘s Quality Control & Education Coordinator Alex Powar to get some background. Powar tells us it’s their second year at the prestigious festival of films, and, to his knowledge, Four Barrel will be the only coffee company on board this year. [Update: Intelligentsia is there too, serving at the Acura Lounge.] “We’re serving Friendo Blendo on a 2 group La Marzocco Linea,” Powar told Sprudge. In addition to espresso, the team will be serving a variety of Four Barrel offerings via filter batch brew. This all happens at 591 Main Street in Park City, Utah (inside the AirBNB Haus promotional HQ) and is wide open to the public.
Below you’ll find four promotional pins that Four Barrel created for the event. Designed by their in-house illustrator Kevin Tudball, these pins are magnificent pun-filled fun buttons of joy and we’d do anything to get our greasy paws upon one.
They’ll probably end up on Miranda July and Spike Jonze instead, and we’re totally okay with that. Will Javier Bardem don the Friendo Blendo pin? Will Robert De Niro, the man responsible for “You talkin’ to me?“, deign to wear a coffee pin that says “Utahkin’ 2 Me?” This story is developing.
The Sundance Film Festival runs January 22 until February 1 in Park City, Utah.
