Dates and location information for the 2015 Big Eastern Regional Barista Competition have been officially confirmed by the Specialty Coffee Association of America. The event will take place in Durham, North Carolina at the Durham Convention Center November 21st through 23rd. That’s less than three months from now, so if you’re planning on competing in the 2015 Northeast or Southeast region in the Barista Competition or Brewers Cup, it’s time to get practicing!

The event will be brought to you by sponsors Wilbur Curtis, and Counter Culture Coffee, who return as Big Eastern sponsors for the second consecutive year.

You can read more about the Big Eastern at the US Coffee Championships site, with a schedule of events available here. Registration for the 2015 Big Eastern opens Tuesday, September 2nd. The Big Eastern will be the last of three regional events in the 2015 United States Barista Championship competition season. The Big Western happens first, October 7th-10th. As first reported by Sprudge, the 2015 Big Central happens November 7th-9th in Minneapolis, hosted by Cafe Imports.
