Have you ever wanted to take part in the US Coffee Championships but didn’t know where to start? What coffee should you use? How is the signature beverage created? What the hell are you even supposed to talk about for 10 to 15 minutes? For those looking to take the plunge into the wild world of coffee competition, Count Culture is hosting info sessions on November 21st called “Pro Tips: A Guide to the US Coffee Championships.” Taking place at 12 of their training labs nationwide, Pro Tips is a chance to take part in a virtual Q&A with some of the best and most successful coffee pros going today.

Through the power of the internet, Counter Culture has compiled a crack team of competition veterans who will be available to provide their wide-ranging firsthand experiences on what it takes to be successful at the US Coffee Championships. The virtual panel includes: 2019 US Barista Champion Sam Spillman, 2019 US Brewers Cup Champion Kaley Gann, multi-time USBC finalist and Glitter Cat founder T. Ben Fisher, veteran competitor and US Coffee in Good Spirits committee member Adam JacksonBey, World Barista Championship Head Judge Mike Strumpf, and World Brewers Cup Sensory Judge and US Brewers Cup Head Judge Kathy Altamirano.

In addition to the virtual panel, each training lab will invite local competition veterans to give a “rundown on current competition structure, scoresheets, and the tips they’ve picked up over the years.” Events will be held at:
