As an update on internal doings at Sprudge, and following the announcement of Hengtee Lim as Sprudge.com’s first-ever Tokyo Staff writer, today we’ve added another scribe to the fold: Noah Sanders will be joining Sprudge.com as our Bay Area staff writer, taking the place of Leif Haven, who’s leaving us to pursue a Ph.D. and more creative writing opportunities. From getting his Samuel Taylor Coleridge on at the Nespresso pleasure dome, to taking us deep inside the secret Square R&D cafe, to advocating for the coffee scene in Oakland, Leif Haven’s considerable contributions to this publication over the last 18 months will be missed. However we’re very excited for what the future has in store for us with Noah Sanders.
Noah Sanders (@sandersnoah) joins us after quickly proving himself as a capable freelancer, authoring Sprudge articles on the 2015 Good Food Awards, the coffee scene at the Ferry Building, and several new San Francisco cafe profiles. A longtime resident of the Mission District, Sanders brings experience as a contributor to SF Weekly and The Bold Italic, paired with a street-wise perspective on San Francisco in 2015, which is to say, a marvelous and complex city in flux. For more, check out Noah Sanders’ complete archives here.
In the coming weeks and months we can’t wait to bring you more tales of the coffee city from Noah Sanders in San Francisco. He joins our international team of staff writers including Anna Brones (Paris), Eileen P. Kenny (Melbourne), Julie Wolfson (Los Angeles), Hengtee Lim (Tokyo), Zac Cadwalader (Texas), and Liz Clayton (New York City), plus a growing network of freelancers, stringers, photographers and cartoonists around the world.
We are currently seeking additional writing talent. We are an independent media company based in Portland, Oregon, dedicated to bringing our readers the best stories in coffee and compensating all of our contributors fairly for their work. Think you have what it takes to contribute to Sprudge? Send us an email at hiring@Sprudge.com and learn more from our recent SprudgeJobs ad seeking writers in Chicago and Los Angeles.
