La Marzocco continues their streak of cool goings-on at their cafe inside KEXP Studios in Seattle thanks to their Roaster in Residency program. Each month the keys are handed over to a new roaster to transform the menu and the space as they see fit. Maybe it’s the addition of signature drinks or noshes, or maybe even a wholesale change to the bar setup and flow. It’s coffee carte blanche.
This month the Pacific Northwest cafe is going Atlantic Southeast by inviting Miami’s Panther Coffee to take over. In true Panther style, owners Joel and Leticia Pollock will be offering both their East Coast and West Coast espresso blends, the roaster’s takes on more traditional and more modern flavor profiles, respectively. Continuing with this yin and yang theme, the Panther takeover will also include their chocolatey nitro cold brew as well as their floral, fruit-forward cascara, both of which are also used as components as part of the pop-up cafe’s signature drink menu.
And Panther will be hosting a couple of fun events at the KEXP space for locals to participate in, the biggest of which is a meet and greet with Finca Kilimanjaro’s CEO Aida Batlle. Happening on November 14th from 4:00-6:00pm, the Cup of Excellence winner will be giving a presentation followed by a tasting of her Aida Batlle Selection coffees (roasted by Panther, of course) brewed via Chemex.
Panther’s residency runs until Monday, December 5th. More information on the events and menu are available on La Marzocco’s blog.
