In the wee hours of the morning this morning, an incredible moment of subversive street art—or outright and complete vandalism, depending on your opinion—was enacted over top of the Starbucks cafe at 1600 E Olive Way in Seattle, Washington. These photos were taken by citizen blogger Michael “Panda” Fernandez, who writes under the nom de blog Spro & Dro, at around 5:30 am on the morning of May 5th, 2015.
Here’s another incredible photo, courtesy of Michael “Panda” Fernandez:
The F-bomb sculpture appears to be made from the same font and design as the original sign itself, right down to the crossbar backsplash. “I was effing amazed when I saw this,” Fernandez told Sprudge. “I almost didn’t even notice.”
Nor did the city of Seattle, whose local news blogs and food rags are entirely devoid of “Fuck Starbucks” coverage as of this article going to print. This means Starbucks was able to very quickly get the sign removed, or at least before 10am, when most bloggers wake up.
Jokes aside, if anyone knows anything at all about the gigantic “Fuck Starbucks” sign prank, please contact us immediately. Anonymity guaranteed.
