While waiting on the opening of The Crown: Royal Coffee Lab & Tasting Room—we took another sneak peak a few weeks ago, space is gonna be rad—our partners at Royal Coffee are continuing their road trip around the country. And just in time for Coffee Fest, they’ll be stopping in Chicago starting this weekend to lead a discussion on green coffee buying.
“Introduction to Green Coffee Buying with Chris Kornman” takes place on Monday at Metropolis Coffee Company and will give attendees a glimpse into what exactly it means to be a green buyer. From Royal’s website:
The course will cover coffee production, supply chain logistics, the C Market, importing and exporting, Incoterms, and sourcing strategies. Tickets for the event cost $150 and can be purchased here.
If you can’t attend the course, Royal will be hosting a handful of free events over the course of Coffee Fest weekend, including a free cupping and two, count ‘em two, happy hours, on Saturday and Monday at Dark Matter’s Meddle Coffee Bar and Metropolis Coffee, respectively. An RSVP is required for any of the free events.
For more information on any of the week’s events, to RSVP, or to see where they will be stopping next (hint: it rhymes with Teattle in Tuly) visit Royal Coffee’s website.
